Of all the requirements set forth in the scriptures being humble and contrite seem to be the most difficult to follow. Being self-centered seems to be built into our very being. We tend to pursue what we want and resist being subservient to others. Since to be humble means that we are ‘not proud or arrogant”, our human tendencies seem to move us away from being humble toward self importance. The dictionary identifies humble as being ‘not proud or arrogant’. So man has a choice in his lifetime to be humble or proud. What is God’s preference? Of course humility is preferred over pride. What does God say about the humble and proud?

James 4:6 “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”

It is and always has been God’s preference that His children be humble, as Christ was humble even unto death. Pride has never been an acceptable behavior for those who desire to follow God. In fact God views Pride as unacceptable behavior. The scriptures are filled with undesirable results for Pride and desirable results for humble.

“man’s pride will bring him low, but the humble in spirit will retain honor.” Proverbs 29:23A (NKJV)

“The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;” Psalm 10:4 (NKJV)

“And He will spread out His hands in their midst As a swimmer reaches out to swim, And He will bring down their pride together with the trickery of their hands.” Isaiah 25:11 (NKJV)

In a recent Newsletter by Bob Livingston the following statement was made. “Pride” is a thinly veiled color revolution to destroy Western civilization.

These Days of Repulsion, we Christians are bombarded with overt claims of Pride by large groups of people (specifically LGBTQ+ -Trans). Through exaggerated self-opinions (pride) they make outlandish claims about their lifestyle, a lifestyle that is an abomination to God. They are caught up in a way of life that in 2023 is one of extreme Pride which is contrary to God’s plan of humility.

Back in the 1950’s some individuals who were prone to seek companionship with same sex partners were found in society. They stood in the dark corners of a street waiting for a partner or stood in the restrooms at bus stops and airports hoping to catch a prospect (partner). There was no pride in what they did only an animal instinct to satisfy a physical need. They were shunned, ignored, and neglected by normal society

Look how far society has crumbled into this sinful way of life. Months are set aside to celebrate this repulsive way of life. Parades and events are celebrated to aggrandize their pride in self and how they can flaunt God with their sinful ways. Educators are doing their best to influence and recruit children into their sinful ways, even encouraging some to change gender, when God has made them exactly the way He wanted them.

Is there any hope for mankind when we see our society deteriorate into chaos orchestrated by Satan and his Kingdom of Evil. It is painful to see that pride in sinful acts are just a small portion of what is growing stronger and stronger. Anarchy, lawlessness, confusion, rebellion in the streets, efforts to destroy society and make it into a satanic controlled evil minority are all lapping at the door of every Christian. Pride is only a small segment of the Kingdom of Evil: but in this current Day of Repulsion, it has significant pull and influence on multitudes.

Being humble should be a mantra of every Christian. They should avoid all connections with the Pride movement and its participants except for using every opportunity to introduce them to Christ.
